Do you ever have one of those weeks? The ones where you have a plan and every day changes for some reason. That was my week. It wasn’t a bad week…just a random week. It was kind of funny, actually. Every day had something planned and every single day changed. My calendar was almost an unnecessary item for me.
Anyway, I am finding that when those times happen you have to stop yourself…open your eyes and capture what is around you. Sometimes I get so caught up in the here and now, what needs to be done, my list of things to do that I forget to stop and capture what is happening right in front of me. A dear friend of mine referred to it as “changing the lens you are looking through.” So, this week…that is what I did. I put down one lens to put on another…and this is what I captured.
Normally, Gabe is at preschool, Claire is at the sitter’s house, and I have a work day. However, it was a random week, so I got to have Claire and her sweetness home with me one of those days. Claire’s new thing is doing somersaults. She is quite proud of herself.

Playing peek-a-boo with her little friend…
And, Claire’s hair…just moments after doing somersaults and brushing her own hair. Yes, there was only one braid left after she did her handy-work.
I am so thankful that I took the time to stop and look through a lens of today…my week, my life.
–Happy weekend!–
